ZAQUES HOTEL

We are the only hotel in Malaysia to be transformed from an old Police Barracks building. With 8 event Halls and 74 rooms that can fit up to 252 guests at one time, we are the most unique Conference Hotel in the country.

Original founder, Mr. Zahir Bin Yahya saw the grand opportunity when he was offered to “Up-Cycle” an old Police Barracks from the 1960s into the current 16,221 square feet hotel property. In 2020, covid struck, and the hotel industry was in deep water. Things turned for the worst when Mr. Zahir passed away in Mid-June of that year and left with no direction to spearhead the company out of the health and economic struggle.

Later that same year, Mr. Zairee, Mr. Zahir’s son, after an abrupt return from Australia leaving his job in the Nutrition and public health industry, took the role of Managing Director. Since then, he has put Zaque’s Hotel in a steep, upward trajectory. Now, Zaque’s Hotel is the people’s choice for Events, accommodation, catering and hospitality in Sungai Petani.
